House in Psychiko, Athens, Greece

Designed to enable freedom and flexibility, this house in Athens, Greece, is the product of a group of specialist designers who combined their strongest skills to create this masterpiece. The house, completed in 2012, is separated into three sections - the stone core, the boomerang-shaped upper floor and the living area in between. The bold angular geometry, curves and arcs culminate to add a harmonious air to the house and the external walls, covered with stone and a blend of other materials, create a sense of intimacy and peace. There is a communal garden (shared with the neighbouring house), a swimming pool and a canal that stems from the front to the back of the house.

Inside, bedrooms have been placed on the first floor, providing views over Athens and the rest of the house could easily be mistake for a gallery. Consisting of numerous works of art and photography, the interior of the house has carefully been decorated as an exhibition-type space with the flawless white walls working as a blank canvas.

The house is definitely a one of a kind. The natural flow of the structure and how the exterior and interior work seamlessly together is beautiful.
