Carpenter's House Renovation, Dalarö

It is the furniture in this house that make the biggest statement. The private residence from the 1800s is situated just outside Stockholm, Sweden and boasts a gorgeous, colourful and bright exterior. In contrast, the interior holds a neutral and calming tone and hosts a number of antique artefacts that give a classic atmosphere. Some of those artefacts were collected from flea markets, garage sales and auction houses and show how to add a classic twist to a contemporary home.

On entering the house, there is a beautiful light grey and white checkered floor, an antique table purchased at an auction house (Metropol) and a lantern from Olsson & Jensen. Double doors then lead to the living room where various prints and paintings decorate the walls. The room also houses a contemporary fireplace, stunning wooden flooring, a floor lamp and pendant lamp from Olsson & Jensen and a coffe table by House Doctor. Further into the property is a dark-grey-themed music room which is decorated with bowling pins, an IKEA rug, paintings and two gooseneck arm chairs. A white-themed bedroom is also included with lamps from IKEA and a bedspread from Lexington.
